Because of the handmade nature of the printmaking process, the print you order might be slightly different from the one in the picture. Small imperfections like ink stains, unprinted areas or colour variations make each one different from the others and therefore unique.

Inspired by Ukiyo-e Japanese woodblock print
Tiger by Utagawa Sadahide とら - 歌川 貞秀
Original ukiyo-e prints are the trio with two tigers and dragon which is the imaginary fight between the two auspicious animals representing the sky (dragon) and the earth (tiger). Whenever the dark clouds appear and the strong wind blows, the legend says the two are fighting (none of them wins, however). The publisher indicated that their skillful artists took 18 months of engraving and 3 months of printing to make this dynamic masterpiece back to the modern time.
I've separated the dragon and tiger into two different prints.
Spray-painting the mono color in the background enhance contrast with the tiger prints. As well as modify the tiger with one legs stepped into the prints instead of the whole tiger of the ukiyo-e original woodblock print to make the tiger more vivid.
